System Configuration
The system configuration allows you to edit your BOM and designer defaults as well as slab connection and Z-section fixing preferences.
To find your system configuration page go to MY DETAILS >> System Configuration
The opening page should appear as below, with more options as you progress down the page.
BOM Options
If you would like for the bill of materials to display your company logo simply check the box. Add your logo through My Company.
Unchecked, the bill of materials will show the Quotec logo.
Checked, this is replaced with your own logo.
Designer Defaults
This allows you to select the default item and colour for each category. The options here are what will automatically be used when you create a new job before creating any edits.
To the left is a list of blocks containing different categories while to the right of each of these is a coloured area showing an example of the selected colour and listing the default item selected for that category.
To edit any of these categories simply click the block naming the category you wish to change.
This will produce a pop-up which at the top tells you what category you are editing and below which includes a drop-down selection for items and a visual selection for colours.
You will be able to choose between Zincalume and Colorbond items.
Selecting Zincalume will remove the colour selections however, you will need to complete both steps 1 and 2 for the change to be made so make sure to select the zincalume in step 2 as well.
Once you’ve made your selection click SAVE to set this new selection as your default. This will update the display on your System Configuration page.
Slab Connection Method
Below your designer defaults selection is the Slab Connection Method. Using the drop down menu you can select either In Slab or On Slab footing brackets as your default. This selection can be changed for individual jobs in the designer.
Preferred Z-Section Fixing
Below your slab connection method selection you will see the selection for your Z-section fixing.
Using the drop down menu, you can choose between either bolt or screw fixings.
Preferred Knee Brace
This option allows you to control whether your jobs should use knee braces or not. This option applies for buildings up to 15m wide.
Ok To Use Knee Brace is the default option. The system will use Knee Brace if possible as this will mean smaller C-section for the frame and therefore lowest cost. No Knee Brace Where Possible will try to use larger C-sections (at higher cost) to avoid knee braces.
After making any changes to your system configurations don’t forget to apply the changes by clicking the SAVE icon at the top of the page. The designer defaults will apply to any NEW jobs.
