Quotec Now

Custom Design Requests
Sometimes you get those fiddly customer requests and Quotec can’t quite handle it. We are proud of the design service we provide to our resellers to help them get quotes for these jobs. Quite often this requires special engineering to be done as part of the buy process. Now when you buy the job, you can indicate that the job has custom engineering. By checking this option on, it streamlines our internal processes and helps us to help you! You ONLY need to check this on when you have discussed your requirements with us and you know there is custom engineering to be performed.
Roller Door Updates
Roller door jambs on the side wall are now calculated to exact length. Gable walls will still have a small amount added to the required length to allow for cutting on site.
If a roller door was placed on a side wall and there was an internal partition wall in place, the designer was overlapping the jamb and the girt:
This problem has now been fixed.
Similarly, if you added a roller door to the front wall and then added one to the side wall in a corner, the two roller doors would collide. Now the designer will detect there is already an existing roller door in place and won’t allow the second roller door to be placed in such a way that they would collide.
We have updated the data for Steel-Line roller doors so that it does a better job of selecting the correct motor to go with the door.

Miscellaneous
All buildings up to 250 portal frames in shed & garage profiles can now be connected both to - on slab or in slab footing connections.
Bug Fixes
There were some cases where slab drawings were not always appearing in the engineering drawings.
When modifying walls, some of the options which had a metre or % selection option would both stay checked on.
