Version 1.44 - Release Notes

We have some long-term enhancements we are working on behind the scenes. It will take a little while yet for those to come through, so in this release we have tweaked a few little things and fixed a number of bugs to continue improving your Quotec experience.

  • Fixed. If you added a partition wall that was not valid, the designer would still add the mullions that would have been used. It should not have added the mullions at all.

  • Fixed. When in the designer and you clicked and held down on an element like a column or rafter, it should have shown the Mark code along with the other details (item number, length, etc).

  • Fixed. On the concrete slab drawing the table on the side that showed the codes and rebate size would only display the Roller Door codes. It was not displaying Opening codes.

  • Fixed. The hole punching for the eave connection bracket to an eave purlin was not quite right when using BTB columns.

  • Fixed. When changing the roof purlin spacing on a carport, the system would incorrectly change the purlin from a C-section to a Z-section.

  • Enhanced. When using an eave extension bracket, the engineering drawings didn’t clearly show the eave purlin used for the edge of the eave and the one under the bracket for the side wall.

  • Enhanced. The engineering drawings now show the eave extension brackets which make it easier to determine the size bracket. Useful if you mix the 450 and 600 eaves on a job.

  • Enhanced. The hole punching on rafters/columns have been improved. If the purlin/girt would cross over an apex or knee plate, the rafter/column will not be punched.

  • Enhanced. The purlin closest to the roof edge will have spacing suitable for the cladding type and region, leading to improved strength.

  • Enhanced. When a window is added to a wall and the user has clicked in an area under the height of a PA door, the window will be automatically aligned so the top edge is 1920mm from the ground. Previously the designer attempted to fit it above a girt but this didn’t always lead to visually pleasing results and the window jamb supplied wasn’t long enough to drop the window into a better position.

  • Fixed. When a quote needed to be unlocked, the button to unlock the job would sometimes not work. This has been fixed by displaying that message as a notification instead of a popup dialog.
