Order Category Suppliers
This section allows you to set which suppliers you will use for each order category: Fasteners, Insulation, Roller Doors, Steel/Cladding, and Windows. In order to assign a supplier to an order category you will first need to make sure this supplier has already been created in your system or is part of Quotec’s supplier network.

To find your Order Category Suppliers screen, go to ITEMS >> Order Category Suppliers.
Your Order Category Suppliers page should appear as below. There will be a section on this screen for each order category, starting with Fasteners. Plates and Steel/Cladding are slightly more unique than your other main order categories as they can be split up even further.

Adding a New Custom Supplier
You can choose to either replace the existing supplier in an Order Category or you can list multiple suppliers.
To add a supplier simply click the ADD button under the Order Category you wish to add them to.
The following pop-up should appear, showing the order category you are adding to at the top.
Your Area will typically be National however if you have regional suppliers and have added different areas to your Quotec System select the correct area from the drop-down.
Use the Supplier drop-down to select for your existing supplier list. You can also click in this box to type the supplier name and help locate them in the drop-down.
Your Delivery Rule will determine where these orders will be assumed to be delivered to. You can always adjust this during the processing stage however the selection here will impact on how freight is calculated for some of your suppliers.
Lastly, select whether they will be the default supplier for this order category.
Plates and In-Slab Footing Brackets
You’ll notice there are two separate sections for Plates. The first refers to your main plates order. If you would like to have your In Slab Brackets delivered separately to your main order
Steel/Cladding - Cladding & Flashing, and Framing
Steel/Cladding also has multiple order category sections. If the two bottom sections are left blank the system will create a single purchase order based off the information in the first Steel/Cladding section.
If you get your Cladding & Flashing from a different supplier to your Framing then you can add a supplier to each of those categories. In this instance, the system will create separate purchase orders using the information and pricing you have set up for the two separate suppliers.
