Version 1.36 - Release Notes

So in the last release notes we said we were going to be working on some big stuff. Well, we certainly have! This version will address a number of the issues we see come through the support desk, reduce the need for special jobs, and make life easier for everyone!
SHS Posts
You can now change individual frames to use SHS, allowing a mix of SHS and C-Section within a building. Simply go to Show Frames on the job and click the SHS button. Click the C-Section button to change it back to C-Section.

Step Downs
You can now indicate which bays should have a 50mm stepdown. The posts and cladding will be automatically adjusted. The concrete plan will be modified to show the stepdowns.
Click the Stepdown button:
Then click in the bays you want to have stepdown.
And voila! Stepdown in place.

External Facing Walls
When you have a middle wall that faces the outside (think of a garaport situation), new connectors are used to join the Z-purlin between the bays and new flashing will be used to seal the wall between outside and inside.
Gutter Extension Flashing
If you have a side wall without cladding, there was a gap between the gutter and the eave bracket which made it tricky to attach the gutter. There is now a new flashing which fits in between to make for an easier to install and nicer to look at gutter.
Email Templates
We have set up email templates for use with all emails in the system. This will allow you to control the text of the email and to whom the email is sent. Want all your order emails to go to accounts? No problem. Want your proposal emails to be sent to you and the customer? Easy.

Email Messages
As part of the overhaul of emails, we now track the emails sent from Quotec. You can see whether the email was successfully sent, whether it bounced, if it was opened, etc. This allows you to send emails with confidence. As part of this we are finally pleased to announce you can send your purchase orders directly to your supplier from the purchase order screen.

2FA
Two factor authentication has been implemented to keep your account more secure. When you log in, you will be asked for a verification code which is sent to your mobile. Your password plus the verification code will make your account secure. 2FA is not mandatory for existing clients YET but we strongly suggest you turn it on. One of the advantages is that your login session will remain open and you don't have to log in every day as you currently do.

Proposals
Proposal documents will now show your Builder's Licence on the proposal documents. It will be shown on the cover page and the introduction letter.
Switching Companies
For resellers that use a head office/branch structure, you no longer have to log out/in to switch between the various branches. Log in once and use the new switcher which can be selected via the account menu at the top right of the screen.
Job Statuses
We have introduced a number of new statuses for jobs. When you are in the job management screen you will see appropriate buttons to change these statuses.
New → Deleted
Quoted → Declined
Plans Purchased → Plans Cancelled
Purchased → Cancelled or Completed.
When a job is deleted, it will not be shown in the search screen. Declined or cancelled jobs will no longer show in the search screen unless you specifically select the Status!

Purchase Orders
You can now create new purchase orders directly from the purchase order screen. These orders are not linked to a job. What this means is you can raise a purchase order for new Q-Plates without having to send emails to support! Simply create the PO, add your items and send it! Payment will be made as per usual.
Additionally, you can create the purchase order to go to any of your suppliers. When you add a new line to the purchase order, it may be for an item not within Quotec. You can add a line without an item number - enter the order code, name and cost details!

Bugs
Fixed. Issue trying to change length for mezzanine only design.
Fixed. Under certain circumstances, when a purlin was upgraded, the eave purlin did not change size correctly.
Fixed. When a top curtain wall was added to the front such that the mullion did not go to the ground, mullion footers would still be added even though they aren’t required.
Fixed. When changing length and selecting bays to use, the cost calculator was sometimes putting costs to the wrong bay option.
Fixed. Graphical glitch if you removed a wall that had a window and you re-added a wall in the same space, a hole was displayed where the window was.
Fixed. Could sometimes move a window over a roller door.
Fixed. If you tried to design a shed for an address to which Metroll did not deliver, the designer screen would just go blank. It now shows the error message.
Fixed. In some cases of wall orientation, there were not enough screws being supplied.
Fixed. Issue with ridge capping not always being the correct length.
Fixed. If you had roller doors on side walls in adjacent bays, depending on the gap, not enough fly bracing was being supplied.
Fixed. Screw counts for various edge cases.
Fixed. Internal flashing for some edge cases.
